Ms. Julia Fahey, Artistic Director
Ms. Fahey is a choir enthusiast with a passion for children’s voices. Her unique ability to inspire young musicians to a high level of excellence keeps her in high demand.
Ms. Fahey is the founder and artistic director of the International award-winning choir, Partners in Praise Girls Choir and its sister ensemble, the Con Brio Choir. Partners was formed in 1994 and selected to perform over fifty shows with the Donny Osmond production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.
Her choir has performed on concert stages worldwide – from the Sydney Opera House to Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, from the Vatican to Galway! Performances also include numerous national and international festivals and competitions, MMEA, ACDA, and ISME, the International Society of Music Educators 50th Anniversary conference in the Canary Islands 2004.
Ms. Fahey earned her BA degree in music education, K-12, from Southwest State University Minnesota. She performed with the professional touring group, the Main Street Singers, sang with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians and continues to perform as a guest soloist along with her husband Chris.
Ms. Fahey has been teaching music and conducting children’s choirs for over twenty years. She conducted with the Metropolitan Boys Choir, maintained her own private studio teaching piano and voice while keeping a professional singing career. She is also the director of the Children’s Choral Program at Peace Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale since l988.
For the past 15 years she has been teaching Middle School Music at the Convent of the Visitation School and St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights. There she also gives voice lessons, directs musicals, promotes top singing ensembles and continuously seeks new opportunities and programs to inspire young people.
